About me

Hi, I'm Leana. I am 42 years of age and married with two children, an 19 year old daughter and a son who is 5. I have lived in Bangor my whole life and moved to Carnalea over 10 years ago. We are close to the sea which means lots of visits to the beach and there are plenty of places nearby for walks. I have been a registered childminder with the South Eastern Health and Social Services Trust from April 2014.
We have recently made some home improvements and I'm pleased to say I have a large dedicated playroom especially for the children. They can really relax and feel at home without worrying about making a mess. It is their area where they can tip toys out and if there is a spill, no worries. The room opens out to a large secure enclosed and very private garden. I have plenty of room for the children with quiet area's if any want to get away from all the excitement and do some homework, chill out, or nap. I have cameras covering the garden and playroom which I can view on a tablet if I am in the kitchen making snacks. This is for home security and also to assist me in monitoring the safety of the children.
I love to go for walks to collect shells, glass and driftwood from the beach to use for crafts. I love making things and hope your children will enjoy it too!
I'm a runner in my spare time which keeps me in good physical and mental health and improves my energy levels which is much needed when looking after children.
Having been a working mother myself I have been through the process and anxieties of handing over my child to someone else to look after. I know that it isn't always easy to make that choice, and I understand how important it is to feel that you are leaving your child with someone who will care for them, teach them, and provide fun activities. I can assure you that my aim is to treat all the children will equal fairness and love, just as I would want my own children to be cared for.
I have two small dogs called Buddy and Suzi who are very friendly and good with children.
